Dr. Lisa Pujol Boe serves as our Medical Director for Mission Healthcare at Renton and at Bellevue. Dr. Boe is board certified in Internal Medicine and has spent most of her medical career as an acute care hospitalist, only recently transitioning to the post-acute care realm. Her hospital experience makes her uniquely suited for the ever-challenging world of post-acute medicine. Dr. Boe graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed her residency at Loma Linda Medical Center and its affiliated sites. Prior to her career in medicine, Dr. Boe attended graduate school at ASU and conducted research for the NIH in the Diabetes Molecular Genetics Section. Her academic career began at UC Berkeley where she graduated with Honors in Anthropology.
As medical director, Dr. Boe directs and oversees the care of patients- developing and directing facility policies with the Administrative, Nursing and Therapy teams- as well as providing direct patient care in collaboration with nurses, therapists, social services, specialists, and primary care physicians. Dr. Boe is enthusiastic and her mission is to provide the highest quality of patient-centered, integrated, and compassionate care as patients transition from acute hospitalization to the post-acute setting, restoring health and regaining independence whenever possible.
Dr. Boe is completing her Medical Director certification through the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care, and continues to broader her knowledge and skills through continuing education programs through the American College of Physicians, The American Board of Internal Medicine, Society of Hospitalist medicine, and the American Medical Directors Association.
